Job summary

Respect, the largest aged care provider in Regional Australia, is seeking a compassionate Permanent Part-time Personal Care Assistant to join our rural Somerset Regional team (9 shifts per fortnight).

You will deliver person-centred care, assist with showering, dressing and meals, support mobility, and collaborate with nurses and the care team to enhance residents’ daily lives. National Police Check and vaccinations are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aged care is desirable.
• Passion for caring for older people and strong communication skills.
• Team-focused attitude and flexibility to work across shifts.
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing and grooming
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents’ health and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans

About The Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Permanent Part-time, (9 shifts per fortnight) Personal Care Assistant to join our team in a supportive rural aged care home. You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.
