Job summary

Respect, a leading aged care provider in Regional Australia, seeks compassionate Casual Personal Care Assistants for a rural home to deliver person-centred care and enhance residents' daily lives.

You will assist with daily living, mobility, meals, and engage with residents and families while working across shifts and collaborating with the care team. Qualifications include a relevant aged care certificate, police check, vaccinations, and NDIS screening or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Experience in aged care is desirable.
• Passion for caring for older people.
• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations.
• Current NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing and grooming.
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.

About The Role

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Casual Personal Care Assistants to join our team in a supportive rural aged care home. You will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.

No two days are the same! As Personal Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide personal care including assistance with showering, dressing and grooming
• Support residents with mobility and safe manual handling
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with nurses and the wider care team

About You

You'll thrive with us if you have:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Previous experience in aged care or a similar role (desirable)
• A genuine passion for caring for older people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Current National Police Check and relevant vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
