Job summary

Doutta Galla Aged Services is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team across AM, PM and night shifts at Woornack. Provide high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive environment.

You will help residents with daily living activities, maintain dignity, and communicate with families and the care team, while documenting progress in line with Aged Care Quality Standards. Join us to make a meaningful difference.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care in an aged care setting.
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent, e.g. Individual Support).
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, including those with dementia or where English is a second language.
• Ability to document concisely in resident progress notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful personal care including hygiene, dressing and mobility support.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and meals.

We have part-time opportunities available across AM, PM and night shifts at Doutta Galla Aged Services - Woornack, while allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respectful personal care, including hygiene assistance, dressing and mobility support to the residents.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and meals.
• Foster independence, dignity, and individual choice for each resident.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

What you will bring:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in personal care ideally in an aged care setting
• Experience caring for people living with dementia.Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care/Disability (or equivalent e.g. Individual Support)
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with residents living with dementia and/or where English is a second language.
• Demonstrated ability to document concisely and effectively in resident progress notes
• Ability to work effectively and respectfully in a team environment.
• Knowledge of the Care Plan process and the relevant assessments required.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach.
