Job summary

Westpac Fountain Gate in Narre Warren is seeking a Personal Banker. You will engage with customers in-branch and by phone to uncover financial needs, promote banking products, and refer clients to Home Loans and Business Banking teams.

This full-time role blends sales with service, with clear targets and comprehensive training to support your banking career. The role operates 8am-5pm on weekdays and 9am-1:30pm on Saturdays, at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre.

Qualifications

• Banking or customer-facing sales experience is valued, with emphasis on strong customer relationships
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales KPIs and provide excellent customer service
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, branch environment with multiple systems

Responsibilities

What’s the role?

As a Personal Banker with Westpac, you will proactively engage with customers in-person and over the phone to uncover their financial needs, utilising your expert product knowledge to assist them in achieving their financial goals. You will refer customers to our specialist banking teams such as Home Loans and Business Banking, as well as coach customers on our digital banking offerings. This rewarding role blends sales and customer service and holds accountability for sales and referral targets - all with an uncompromising commitment to empowering our customers to make the most of their money!

This is a full-time, branch-based role and the hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 9am - 1.30pm Saturdays.

What do I need?

• Banking experience is ideal, but not essential - your high-performer energy and unique ability to gauge and nurture strong customer relationships will be key to driving your success
• Strong experience in a customer-facing / phone-based sales role
• Resilience, tenacity, and an ability to flex - no two days and no two customers are ever the same!
• Proven experience of achieving performance KPIs with an uncompromising commitment to delivering an exceptional customer service
• Comfortable when working with numbers and adept at navigating multiple systems
