Job summary

Wellways Australia Limited is seeking a Recovery Program Worker to empower participants living with psychiatric disabilities in independent living and social connection. You will develop tailored recovery plans with individuals, in partnership with families and carers, to support meaningful health and economic outcomes.

Work collaboratively with the care network to facilitate community participation and the transition to NDIS follow-up, where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV qualification or above in a mental health support role.
• Experience in psychosocial rehabilitation services.
• Understanding of the biopsychosocial model and social inclusion.
• Ability to involve participants and carers in planning and evaluation.
• Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to undertake.
• NDIS Worker Orientation module certificate - online.

Responsibilities

• Deliver support to participants living with psychiatric disabilities to improve independence and social connectedness.
• Develop tailored recovery plans with participants outlining goals and steps.
• Partner with families and services and assist transition to the NDIS when appropriate.
