Job summary

Wellways is seeking a Program Worker in Launceston, TAS to support individuals on their recovery journey as part of a community-based program. The role involves engaging with clients and families, developing goals and strategies to improve health and wellbeing, and working with stakeholders to enhance social inclusion.

The position is a part-time parental leave cover role, with a focus on supporting people with mental health challenges within the Wellways to Recovery program.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualifications in a social science or related discipline.
• Prior experience working within the Mental Health industry or community-based organisation.
• Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
• Current Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Right to Work within Australia
• Satisfactory National Police Records Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

Responsibilities

• Assist in improving the lives of community members as part of the Recovery team.
• Engage community members through developing professional and trusting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support individuals on their recovery journey by working towards inclusive community participation.
