Job summary

Blacktown City Council is hiring a Plant/Tractor Driver to maintain parks, reserves and sports fields. You will operate tractors, mowers and related plant, carrying out mowing, vegetation management and greenspace upkeep in a community-focused role.

The position is permanent full-time with an entry salary of $1,310.20 per week, a rostered day off every fortnight, 12% superannuation, and ongoing training support to help you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating tractors and large-scale turf maintenance.
• Reliable and safety-focused operator with team mindset.
• Ability to perform greenspace maintenance to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Mow, slash and manage vegetation across greenspaces.
• Prepare and maintain sports fields and mark fields.
• Install/remove goal posts and cricket wickets as needed.
• Assist with garden, reserve and roadside maintenance.
• Complete pre-start checks and maintain plant/equipment.
• Work safely while delivering scheduled maintenance.
