Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Parks and Gardens Worker to maintain parks, sports fields, gardens and open spaces. This outdoor role involves operating equipment and following schedules to deliver high-quality public spaces for the community.

You will work with the Greenspace Services team, report hazards, complete required records and participate in ongoing training and development. The position offers a permanent full-time contract, a fortnightly RDO, 12% superannuation and growth

Qualifications

• Ability to perform outdoor physical work.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to carry out required records and forms.
• Teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, plant, prune and water garden beds.
• Control weeds and collect litter.
• Operate mowers, whipper snippers and edgers.
• Carry out daily checks and maintenance on equipment.
