Job summary

Chandler Macleod is recruiting a Civil Project Engineer for a major WA infrastructure construction project. The role is a hands-on, site-based delivery position focused on civil and concrete works, ensuring safe, on-time, within-budget outcomes.

You will report to the Project Manager, own work packages, and lead site operations, coordinating contractors, interfaces and construction progress across concrete and infrastructure works.

Qualifications

• Strong background delivering large-scale mining, marine, defence, transport, industrial or infrastructure construction projects.
• Strong background in concrete structures, civil infrastructure and structural works.
• Experience managing contractors, supervisors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Understanding of project controls, cost management and scheduling.
• Exposure to contract administration and subcontractor management.
• Experience in QA/QC, commissioning support and project completion activities.
• Ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced site environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and infrastructure construction packages from planning through to completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site crews.
• Manage reinforced concrete structures, foundations, wharf and infrastructure-related works.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules and productivity.
• Prepare and manage QA/QC documentation, ITPs, inspections and project reporting.
• Manage procurement activities and subcontractor agreements.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues on site.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and project standards.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders and project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
