Job summary

Verra Recruitment is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for a Defence Infrastructure FIFO role from Melbourne. You will coordinate day-to-day civil delivery across packages including earthworks, drainage, tank works and FRP on a high-profile Defence project.

The role requires strong communication and subcontractor coordination skills and a willingness to work on a 2/1 FIFO roster with a 20% uplift. Flights, accommodation and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Civil construction experience as Site or Project Engineer or similar.
• Experience in general civil scope: earthworks, drainage, tank works or FRP.
• Strong communication and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.

Our client is one of Australia's largest contractors with a focus a major Defence infrastructure projects.

They are looking for Project Engineers to join the team on a FIFO basis from Melbourne.

The project

The $250m package covers a broad civil scope, including pavements, tank works, FRP, earthworks and drainage. It’s a chance to build your civil experience across several disciplines on a high-profile Defence project.

The role

As a Project Engineer, you’ll coordinate the engineering and day-to-day delivery of these packages, working closely with the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and wider site team. You’ll be involved in:

• Planning and programme requirements
• Subcontractor coordination
• Quality management
• Technical queries and RFIs

About you
