Job summary

Journey Early Learning North Mackay is seeking a warm and passionate Permanent Educator to join our Nursery team. You will help create a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe and supported to learn and grow.

Work closely with Lead Educator and the centre team to support each child’s routines, observe and document learning, and contribute to planning. This part-time permanent role offers a supportive culture and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience with babies or Nursery environment is highly regarded.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain).
• Completion of National Child Safety Training.

• Create nurturing, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.
• Support each child’s individual routines, learning and development.
• Build secure and trusting relationships with babies and their families.
• Contribute to observations, planning and documentation.

Contract: Permanent Part time

Location: North Mackay, QLD

Journey Early Learning North Mackay is looking for a warm and passionate Permanent Educator to join our Nursery team.

You’ll play an important role in creating a calm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, secure and supported to learn and grow. Build meaningful relationships with children and families while working alongside a supportive team that values responsive care and quality early learning.

Permanent Position | Nursery Room | Monday to Friday | Up to 37.5 hours per week.

About The Role

• Create nurturing, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF
• Support each child’s individual routines, learning and development
• Build secure and trusting relationships with babies and their families
• Contribute to observations, planning and documentation
• Work closely with your Lead Educator and wider centre team
• Maintain a safe, calm and engaging Nursery environment

About You

You’re a caring, reliable and collaborative educator who understands the importance of relationships and responsive care during the earliest years.

You’ll Bring

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Experience working with babies or within a Nursery environment is highly regarded
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or willingness to obtain)
• Completed National Child Safety Training
