Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Perioperative Services is seeking Registered Nurses with a keen interest in providing outstanding nursing care throughout the perioperative journey of patients undergoing general anaesthesia. The role is a permanent full-time position within the NSW Health system, located at Hornsby.

Successful candidates will be AHPRA registered, capable of working in a fast-paced theatre and PACU environment, and committed to continuous professional development and delivering

Qualifications

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
• A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative journey under anaesthesia.
• Assist anaesthetists in caring for paediatric and adult patients undergoing sedation or general anaesthesia.
• Deliver critical care in the post anaesthetic care unit after surgery or invasive procedures.
