Job summary

Nepean Hospital in NSW seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Services team. You will support patients through the perioperative journey, from preoperative preparation to surgery and postoperative recovery, delivering safe, high-quality care within a dynamic surgical environment.

The successful candidate will have current AHPRA registration, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
• Demonstrated evidence of person-centred care.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and commitment to professional development.
• Recent perioperative nursing experience as an RN, including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based perioperative nursing care from preoperative area through surgery and PACU.
• Support patients across the perioperative journey with safety and compassion.
• Communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with infection prevention and risk management in perioperative settings.
