Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking an anaesthetic nurse to support the safe journey of patients from the perioperative area through to the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU). You will provide anaesthetic nursing care within the perioperative environment and assist the anaesthetist as required.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using clinical assessment and nursing skills to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care and contribute to ongoing quality improvement and service development.

Qualifications

• Clinical assessment skills essential for perioperative care.
• Patient-centred nursing care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong documentation and adherence to clinical, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality and patient-centred nursing care within the Anaesthetics and Recovery environment.
• Assess, monitor and evaluate patients using evidence-based nursing practice to support safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with clinical, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to quality improvement, audits, safety initiatives and ongoing development of the service.
