Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking a Registered Nurse (Grade 2) to join the Youang Centre Anaesthetics and Recovery team. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the anaesthetic and recovery journey and work with a multidisciplinary team.

The program offers structured rotations, dedicated clinical support and study days to build confidence and perioperative knowledge, with potential pathways within Barwon Health upon completion.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with minimum of 12 months acute nursing experience at program start.
• Effective communication and collaboration to deliver safe patient care.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality and patient-centred nursing care within the Anaesthetics and Recovery environment.
• Assess, monitor and evaluate patients using evidence-based nursing practice.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver care throughout the anaesthetic and recovery journey.
• Recognise and respond to changes in a patient’s clinical condition with sound assessment and problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with clinical, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to quality improvement, audits, safety initiatives and the ongoing development of the service.
