Northern Beaches Hospital seeks an outstanding nursing leader to join Perioperative Services as Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 - Scrub/Scout, a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced perioperative clinician who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, driving operational excellence and fostering high-performing teams within a dynamic surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse-Division 1 with APHRA and management qualification or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team
• Excellence in written and verbal communication and computer literacy (Microsoft Applications, roster management systems, EMR)
• Knowledge/experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model
• Evidence of patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the Scrub/Scout nursing team.
• Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based perioperative care.
• Manage staffing resources and day-to-day operational requirements.
• Support efficient theatre utilisation and patient flow.
• Foster a positive workplace culture centred on collaboration and accountability.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Support staff education, mentoring and workforce development.
