Northern Beaches Hospital, part of Northern Sydney Local Health District, is seeking an outstanding Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 - Scrub/Scout for a permanent full-time leadership role within Perioperative Services. You will drive safe, high-quality patient care and oversee the Scrub/Scout team in a busy surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse-Division 1 with APHRA.
• Management qualification or equivalent experience or demonstrated equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and computer literacy in Microsoft applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
• Knowledge/experience in change management and implementing a new service delivery model within an established service.
• Commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement.

• Lead and support the Scrub/Scout nursing team.
• Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based perioperative care.
• Manage staffing resources and day-to-day operations.
• Support efficient theatre utilisation and patient flow.
• Foster a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration and development.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Support staff education, mentoring and workforce development.
