Match & Wood is an exciting and progressive independent media agency, and we are looking for a Performance Manager to join our Melbourne team.
This is an opportunity to work with a team of superstars who are doing great work and future-proofing the media agency model. At a time when you can take your pick of roles and agencies, it's more important than ever to make the right choice. We have a people-first approach which ensures bespoke development plans and opportunities are tailored to individuals, allowing them to learn, grow and achieve whatever they want to in this industry.
It's also an exciting time to be in the media industry with old systems and processes being disrupted, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this change. Our teams are never short of opportunities to make a meaningful difference to our clients and to the wider business.
Your role is to provide effective support to our teams and clients, and deliver best-in-class digital recommendations and execution.
You will be working within an integrated, cross-functional team and be given visibility on the entire communications ecosystem for our clients - not just the areas you execute. You will gain an understanding of how digital & traditional channels work together in the communications mix, and influence each other to drive outcomes. As such, we are looking for someone who is both a critical thinker and a strong executor, with a desire to keep learning.
You will report into the Performance Director who will lead your development and be a strong back-stop and support for you as you progress, as well as a Group Director that manages the overarching team. You can also tap into an open and collaborative leaderdship team, plus a team of digital craft specialists as needed to supercharge your learning and output (Group Digital Director, Head of Search, and Chief Digital Officer).
You will ideally have experience in two or more of the following areas:
1. Paid Search (priority) – Implementing and managing Google Ads and Microsoft Ads campaigns, performing keyword bid management, ad copy testing, new campaign opportunities and experiments to generate actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness. Beyond CPC, you can understand a client’s business priorities and apply them within the search environment.
2. Paid Social – Strong skills within Facebook Business Manager and LinkedIn Ads. Experience with DCO (eg. Flashtalking), external data providers (to leverage additional targeting opportunities), and working with influencers within a paid environment, will be looked upon favourably.
3. Programmatic – You have planned, implemented and managed programmatic campaigns, with experience across self-serve DSPs (such as Trade Desk or DV360). You have strong negotiation skills for different buy types (PG, PMP or run of network), and you understand the nuances between them and when they are most applicable. Experience working with third party data integrations is preferred.
3+ years experience in digital media (ideally within a media agency, but not essential).
Details regarding pay range or salary will be discussed during the interview process.
