Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a hands-on People Services Coordinator to support HR coordination across the employee lifecycle. You’ll work with Payroll, Recruitment and the People Team to ensure accurate records and timely HR processes.

In this hybrid role, you will spend three days in Sydney or Brisbane offices and two days remote, delivering responsive HR support and improving processes to enhance the employee experience.

Make HR Happen | Join Our People Services Team

We’re looking for an experienced People Services Coordinator to join our People Services team and provide hands-on HR coordination and support across the employee lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked in a People Services, HR Operations, HR Coordination or HR Advisory support environment and enjoys being the person who keeps employee processes moving, responds to HR enquiries and ensures our people records and systems are accurate and up to date.

Reporting to the People Services & Programs Advisor, you’ll work closely with employees, leaders, Payroll, Recruitment and the broader People Team to deliver a seamless employee experience.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employment changes, transfers and exits.
• Provide responsive HR support to employees and leaders, resolving day-to-day enquiries and escalating complex matters when required.
• Coordinate work rights, visa and employment compliance requirements, including VEVO checks.
• Maintain accurate employee information, documentation and HRIS/workforce system records.
• Partner with Payroll, Recruitment and the broader People Team to resolve issues and ensure HR processes are completed accurately and on time.
• Support People initiatives and identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and the employee experience.

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience in HR Coordination, People Services, HR Operations or a similar hands-on HR role.
• Practical experience coordinating employee lifecycle processes for existing employees, rather than recruitment-focused administration.
• Experience responding to HR enquiries from employees and leaders and managing matters through to resolution.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with experience maintaining HRIS and employee records.
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset, with experience working across Payroll, Recruitment and People teams. Experience with work rights, VEVO or employment compliance is highly regarded.
