People & Capability Partner for Frontline Impact

Job summary

CareChoice is a trusted disability services provider in Australia with a hybrid working model. We’re seeking a hands-on People & Capability Business Partner to partner with leaders across a large frontline workforce and manage complex people matters.

You’ll influence workforce planning, change, and the employee experience while supporting injury management, investigations and performance improvements. The role sits within a dynamic People & Culture team in Mulgrave.

Qualifications

• Experience in a P&C Business Partner or HR Manager role.
• Hands-on employee relations experience, including complex performance, conduct, grievance and investigation matters.
• Knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the National Employment Standards and industrial instruments.
• Experience working with operational leaders and frontline workforces.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
• Ability to balance employee experience, commercial considerations, risk and compliance.
• Experience contributing to change, workforce or broader people projects.
• Practical, curious and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on people priorities, workforce challenges and organisational change.
• Manage complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, grievances, performance and disciplinary processes.
• Coach leaders to manage people matters and build capability.
• Contribute to workforce planning, organisational design and talent initiatives.
• Support workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work activities.
• Use workforce data to identify issues and propose actions.
• Lead and contribute to people projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help create a consistent and positive employee experience across the lifecycle.
