Job summary

Kmart Group is seeking a People & Capability Business Partner to partner with senior leaders and translate business priorities into practical people plans. You’ll balance strategic workforce planning with hands-on advisory support across Risk & Compliance, Profit Protection, Commercial & Strategy, Finance and Corporate Affairs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a People & Capability business partnering role within a complex, fast-paced organisation.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations matters, including investigations and grievances.
• Experience supporting organisational design, restructures and change initiatives.
• Experience delivering core people cycles: talent, succession, performance, remuneration, engagement surveys.
• Strong workforce and succession planning capability with future capability identification.
• Proven coaching and influencing senior leaders with a commercial lens.
• Ability to interpret people data and trends to identify risks and actionable insights.
• Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into practical people plans.
• Lead workforce and succession planning, organisational design and resource planning.
• Use workforce data to identify risks and opportunities and advise on actions.
• Provide trusted, commercially focused advice on significant people decisions.
• Coach leaders to strengthen capability across people leadership and performance.
• Manage complex employee relations matters in consultation with Employee Relations.
• Partner to plan and implement organisational change including restructures and communications.
• Support leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams and positive experience.
• Lead key people cycles across engagement, remuneration reviews, talent and succession.
