Job summary

Macmahon is seeking an HR Advisor at the Greenbushes Lithium Mine site in Western Australia. You will provide practical HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, partnering with site leaders and teams to drive capability, engagement and a positive culture.

The role focuses on employee relations, performance, onboarding, policy compliance with Australian law, learning initiatives, workforce planning, and people analytics using SuccessFactors.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR generalist or advisory role.
• Knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern HR practices.
• Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching.
• Understanding of WHS legislation and psychosocial risk management.
• Experience coordinating national strategy or engagement initiatives.

Job description

Reporting to the People Superintendent, you'll work closely with leaders and employees across the Greenbushes Lithium Mine site, providing practical HR advice while contributing to initiatives that strengthen capability, engagement, and organisational culture.

Responsibilities

Working across the full employee lifecycle, you'll:

• Provide practical advice and support to managers on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters
• Review and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements and HR best practice
• Coach leaders to build capability in managing, developing and supporting their teams
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives that strengthen professional and technical capability across the organisation
• Deliver employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives that reinforce our values and culture
• Support workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding activities
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data using SuccessFactors.
• Support regular performance & development reviews, workforce reporting and people analytics
• Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, reporting and service delivery through technology and continuous improvement
• Contribute to broader People & Capability projects that support organisational growth

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience in a HR generalist or advisory role
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
• Experience supporting employee relations, performance management and leadership coaching
• Understanding of WHS legislation, including psychosocial risk management
• Experience coordinating national strategy or employee engagement initiatives
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience using HR information systems, preferably SuccessFactors
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
