Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this influential senior leadership role will partner closely with the Executive and senior leaders across Juniper, providing strategic direction and trusted advice across employee and industrial relations, organizational development, performance, culture, employee engagement, change and people-related risk.

This is a broad and highly influential role requiring strong commercial judgement, contemporary P&C expertise and the ability to navigate complex people and industrial matters while building trusted relationships at the most senior levels of the business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction across People & Culture, ensuring priorities align with Juniper’s strategy, values and business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to the Executive and senior leaders on complex people matters, culture, organizational effectiveness and people-related risk.
  • Lead Juniper’s strategic approach to employee and industrial relations, providing oversight and direction on complex and sensitive matters.
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations, partnering with Executive leaders, employee representatives, unions and external stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on the interpretation and application of employment legislation, modern awards, Enterprise Agreements and industrial instruments.
  • Provide strategic oversight across organizational development, performance management, organizational design and change.
  • Shape and strengthen Juniper’s approach to employee engagement, culture and employee experience.
  • Establish strong governance and controls to proactively identify and manage people-related risk and compliance.
  • Use people data, insights and emerging trends to inform Executive decision-making and strategic priorities.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion and contemporary People & Culture practices across Juniper.

About you

You are an accomplished senior People & Culture leader with the experience, credibility and judgement to operate effectively at Director level within a large and complex environment.

You are comfortable operating strategically while remaining connected to the realities of the business. You can confidently advise and influence senior leaders, navigate complex industrial environments and provide clear direction when managing challenging or sensitive people matters.

You will bring:

  • Extensive senior People & Culture leadership experience within a large or complex environment.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing Executives and senior leaders.
  • Significant employee relations and industrial relations expertise, including experience leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and industrial instruments.
  • Demonstrated experience across organizational development, performance, change and culture.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance business priorities, employee needs and risk.
  • Highly developed influencing, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary and postgraduate qualifications.
  • Experience within aged care, health, community services or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
