Job summary

ISS is seeking expressions of interest for a People & Culture Advisor to join us in an ISS Office in your State capital city, with roles across Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth. This generalist HR position partners with site leaders to drive engagement, retention, and strategic people initiatives.

As part of a dynamic team servicing multiple industries, the role involves travel to client sites where onsite presence is required, reporting to the General Manager – People & Culture

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ HR generalist experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to present and train face-to-face with large groups.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure compliance with People & Culture policies.
• Work across reward and recognition, performance management and training.
• Provide ER/IR support including grievances, complaints, and investigations.
• Foster stakeholder relationships and deliver HR guidance on performance reviews, career development, and salary market testing.
• Support employee engagement and workplace morale initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the General Manager – People & Culture, you’ll play a key role in:

• Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure compliance with People & Culture policies


• Working across a broad range of areas from reward and recognition, performance management and training.


• Providing ER/IR support including grievances, complaints, and investigations


• Fostering strong stakeholder relationships and delivering HR guidance to managers on employee performance reviews, career development, reviewing position descriptions and market testing of salaries.


• Supporting employee engagement and workplace morale initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years’ HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, large-scale workforce


• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (preferred)


• Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation


• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills


• Ability to present and train face-to-face with large groups


• A proactive, people-first mindset with a passion for building culture


• Experience in Facilities Management or Hotel/Hospitality industry is highly regarded
