Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks a Pega Software Engineer to develop, maintain and enhance Pega applications that support important transport services and customers across NSW. Qualifications

• Pega Platform experience including Pega Infinity '24 or later.
• CSSA certification or equivalent Pega development experience.

• Strong DevOps, CI/CD, automation and production support practices.
• Tertiary IT/software engineering qualification or equivalent experience.

In this role, you'll:

As a Pega Software Engineer, you'll develop, maintain and improve Pega applications that support important transport services and customers across NSW.

• Design, develop, enhance and support Pega applications, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions that support critical transport services and customer outcomes.
• Work within an agile, cross-functional engineering team, translating business requirements into practical technical solutions and collaborating with engineers, product teams and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain integrations between Pega, APIs and enterprise systems, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable and perform effectively in production.
• Apply contemporary software engineering practices across development, testing, code review, deployment, troubleshooting and CI/CD, contributing to high-quality and efficient releases.
• Monitor and continuously improve Pega solutions, proactively identifying technical issues, improving application performance and supporting ongoing service reliability.

The team also comes together in person for activities such as branch all-in days (Location Parramatta Office), training sessions, planning workshops and collaborative work.

About you

• Strong hands-on experience developing, enhancing and supporting enterprise applications using Pega Platform, including Pega Infinity '24 or later.
• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification, or equivalent demonstrated Pega development experience.
• Demonstrated experience across Pega application development, system integration, APIs, testing and troubleshooting within a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of contemporary engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, automation, secure coding and production support, aligned with the broader Software Engineer RD.
• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, as required by the RD.
