Job summary

Mind Australia Limited is seeking a Peer Practitioner for a fixed-term, part-time role based in Campbelltown. You will work with individuals to understand their story and help move toward achievable goals, using relational care and lived experience as a core resource.

Qualifications include a Certificate IV or higher in Mental Health, Peer Work, or related fields. Training in Intentional Peer Support is desirable, with opportunities for coaching and development across South West Sydney.

• Prospective candidates bring lived experience of mental distress and recovery.
• Ability to share learnings from personal story to support recovery.

Responsibilities

• Create a space of hope and inclusion for people experiencing mental health challenges and their families.
• Help people navigate between levels of care within a stepped care model.
• Advocate for voices of people with lived experience.
• Contribute to a culturally responsive workforce and service environment.
• Be grounded in Lived Expertise and share experiences to support clients.
