Job summary

Mind Australia Limited in Melton is seeking two Peer Practitioners for permanent part-time opportunities (0.7 FTE and 0.8 FTE). The Peer Practitioners work as part of a multidisciplinary team with lived experience of mental ill health, alcohol and other drug challenges and recovery being the unique specialist lens that they bring.

They will support people to access the Local, return to their community, live independently and enjoy a meaningful life through a staged recovery approach, using

Qualifications

• Lived experience working with mental health, substance use, and recovery.
• Experience in peer roles and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of co-design and workforce development.

Responsibilities

• Utilise lived experience to inform work and team.
• Support individuals to return to community and live independently.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team providing psychosocial support.
• Welcome individuals at intake and support assessment.
• Help develop daily living skills and self-care capacity.
• Collaborate with services to coordinate recovery goals.
