Job summary

Mind Australia is seeking a self-motivated Peer Practitioner for a Fixed Term, Part Time role (30.4 hours/week) in the Mount Alexander region until June 2027. This position champions the voice of lived experience and advocates for human rights, offering an alternative to traditional mental health responses through mutuality.

You will practice in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice, My Better Life model, and Intentional Peer Support, aligned with family-inclusive, trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Lived experience matters and informs practice.
• Training in Intentional Peer Support Core/Advanced Training is a plus.
• Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or related health field is valued.

Responsibilities

• Bring lived expertise to life and inform Mind’s work across the organisation.
• Provide flexible outreach support using the Intentional Peer Support model.
• Design, deliver, and evaluate group programs using co-design and co-production principles.
