Job summary

Mind Australia Limited is seeking a Peer Practitioner for a fixed-term, part-time role in Frankston, Victoria. You will use your lived experience to engage with clients, deliver empathetic support, and champion recovery-oriented approaches within a family-inclusive framework.

You will work with a caring team, planning and delivering group programs, and building connections with clients, their families and community services. Training in peer work is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Lived/living experience of mental ill health to engage directly with clients.
• Experience with people with complex mental health issues and their families.
• Demonstrated ability to implement a recovery-oriented framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individual clients, delivering high quality service.
• Facilitate group work and social/educational activities.
• Collaborate with services to coordinate recovery goals for clients.
• Support families and carers within a recovery framework.
