Harmony Auto, operating BYD Gympie in Queensland, is seeking a PDI Technician to perform pre-delivery inspections and fittings, ensuring quality and on-time completion. The role offers the chance to work with a flagship BYD store and a fast-paced workshop environment. Ideal candidates have PDI/automotive experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience as a PDI Technician, Mechanic, or Automotive Technician is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and eye for detail are essential.
• Ability to follow manufacturer procedures and quality standards.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles.
• Fit accessories, parts, and protective equipment as required.
• Conduct quality checks and report any defects or issues.
• Complete basic mechanical tasks and adjustments.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
• Update job cards and documentation in line with dealership processes.
• Work closely with the PDI, service, and logistics teams.
