Job summary

Harmony Auto in Melbourne is seeking Automotive Technicians / PDI Technicians to join a busy New Vehicle PDI Centre. You will work with brand-new vehicles, performing inspections, accessory fitting and final quality checks before delivery to customers.

The role offers a modern PDI operation, Monday–Friday schedule, and exposure to BYD and other new energy vehicles, with opportunities to develop automotive skills in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Pre-Delivery Technician experience is preferred.
• Accessory Fitter experience is desirable.
• Automotive trades assistant with strong mechanical skills is welcomed.
• Light Vehicle Mechanic background is valued.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new vehicles.
• Check vehicles for quality, defects and damage.
• Carry out basic mechanical adjustments and repairs.
• Fit accessories and vehicle protection equipment.
• Complete vehicle preparation and final quality checks.
• Use job cards and complete required documentation.
• Move vehicles around the site as required.
• Work closely with the PDI, Service and Logistics teams.

Are you an Automotive Technician or Mechanic looking for a role where you can use your mechanical skills without the pressure of a traditional repair workshop?

Harmony Auto is looking for Automotive Technicians / PDI Technicians to join our busy New Vehicle PDI Centre in Melbourne.

You will be working with brand-new vehicles, completing inspections, vehicle preparation, accessory fitting and quality checks before the vehicles are delivered to customers.

What you'll be doing

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Completing pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new vehicles


• Checking vehicles for quality, defects and damage


• Carrying out basic mechanical adjustments and repairs


• Fitting accessories and vehicle protection equipment


• Completing vehicle preparation and final quality checks


• Using job cards and completing required documentation


• Moving vehicles around the site as required


• Working closely with the PDI, Service and Logistics teams


• Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, safe and organised

What we're looking for

You don't necessarily need to have worked in a PDI Centre before.

We're interested in people with experience such as:

• Pre-Delivery Technician

• Automotive Trades Assistant with strong mechanical skills


• Light Vehicle Mechanic

You'll need:

• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail


• The ability to follow procedures and quality standards


• A reliable and positive approach to work

Automotive trade qualifications are highly regarded, but we're also open to experienced candidates with strong hands-on automotive skills.
