Job summary

St Benedict's Catholic College, Oran Park is seeking a Classroom Teacher to join as a permanent full-time member of staff, commencing 28 January 2027, to teach PD/H/PE. The ability to teach HMS and/or CAFS is desirable and will be considered in the selection process.

The role exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so students may reach their full potential, requiring strong classroom management and a collaborative approach with staff, students and families.

Job description

A permanent full time position commencing 28 January 2027. The successful applicant will be required to teach PD/H/PE. The ability to teach HMS and or CAFS is desirable.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE.
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Ability to teach HMS and or CAFS.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
• Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
• The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
