Job summary

BDO in Australia seeks a Manager – PCAOB Audit Quality to drive development and operation of PCAOB audit quality activities. You will provide practical methodology support, assist with inspection readiness, and contribute to learning initiatives for high‑quality engagements.

You will collaborate with PCAOB engagement teams, partners and AAQ colleagues to translate PCAOB requirements into actionable guidance and resources, mentoring staff along the way.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong technical judgement and the ability to manage multiple quality initiatives.
• Experience with PCAOB engagements and strong communication skills are essential.
• CA qualified or equivalent and supervisory/mentoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PCAOB audit methodology, policies and templates.
• Monitor PCAOB standards and regulatory changes for impact on engagements.
• Provide technical guidance and learning materials for PCAOB engagements.
• Support inspection readiness and remediation activities.
• Promote consistent PCAOB compliance across offices and teams.
• Contribute to PCAOB-focused learning, workshops and guidance materials.
• Assist engagement teams with technical consultations and documentation.
