Job summary

Community Solutions in NSW is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team and support people to thrive.

You will develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support plans, conduct functional assessments, and collaborate with families and carers to promote safety, choice and independence. The role emphasizes coaching and building capacity within support teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Developmental Education or related field.
• Registration preferably as a Core Practitioner.
• Experience developing and implementing PBS plans in complex settings.
• Strong communications skills and ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills; willingness to drive.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based strategies.
• Complete Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support plans.
• Collaborate with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.
• Build the capacity of support teams through coaching and mentoring.
