Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a high-growth ASX-listed mining organisation to recruit a senior payroll leader who will bring payroll in-house, implement a fortnightly cycle, and drive transformation within a culture renowned for its retention and collaboration.

Based in Adelaide, you will work with finance and HR to manage end-to-end payroll for ~150 employees, ensuring compliance and delivering scalable, efficient processes across the function.

• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of payroll from outsourced to in-house.
• Implement and manage a fortnightly payroll cycle.
• Identify and implement payroll process improvements.
• Ensure accurate end-to-end payroll processing for 150 employees.
• Document payroll procedures and controls with stakeholders.
• Support payroll systems optimisation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, awards and policies.
• Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations and reporting.
• Provide ad hoc accounts and finance support during off-pay weeks.
• Act as payroll subject matter expert across the organisation.
