Michael Page is partnering with a high-growth ASX-listed mining organisation to recruit a senior payroll leader who will bring payroll in-house, implement a fortnightly cycle, and drive transformation within a culture renowned for its retention and collaboration.
Based in Adelaide, you will work with finance and HR to manage end-to-end payroll for ~150 employees, ensuring compliance and delivering scalable, efficient processes across the function.
Rarely does a payroll opportunity offer the chance to completely transform a function from the ground up. Join a high-growth ASX-listed mining organisation and take the lead on bringing payroll fully in-house, implementing a fortnightly payroll cycle, and driving continuous improvement within a business renowned for its exceptional culture and employee retention.
Our client is a high-growth ASX-listed mining organisation that continues to go from strength to strength. With significant growth plans, a strong market position, and an exciting future ahead, they have established themselves as one of the most sought-after employers in the resources sector.
What truly sets this organisation apart is its culture. The business has built an environment where employees are trusted, supported, and genuinely enjoy coming to work. This is reflected in outstanding staff retention rates, strong internal engagement, and a collaborative team culture. Employees are given the opportunity to make a real impact while benefiting from the stability, career development, and long-term opportunities that come with being part of a growing listed organisation.
Due to continued growth and an upcoming transformation project, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced senior payroll professional to join the team.
This is far more than a traditional payroll position. The role will play a critical part in delivering a significant payroll transformation project as the organisation transitions from a partially outsourced payroll model to a fully in-house payroll function.
Working closely with key stakeholders across finance, HR, and leadership teams, you will take ownership of driving process improvements, implementing best-practice payroll procedures, and supporting the transition from a monthly payroll cycle to a fortnightly payroll environment.
As a result, this role would suit a payroll professional who enjoys continuous improvement, thrives in project environments, and is passionate about creating scalable and efficient payroll processes.
Outside of payroll processing and project responsibilities, you will also provide occasional support to the wider finance team with ad hoc accounts and finance-related activities during non-payroll weeks.
