Job summary

Asuria Training in Chatswood (NSW) is seeking an experienced Payroll Leader to manage end-to-end payroll for multiple entities. You will partner with the People & Culture team on employee movements, onboarding and terminations, and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with Australian payroll legislation.

You should have 5+ years of high-volume payroll experience, hands-on leadership, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years end-to-end high-volume payroll experience
• Demonstrated experience leading payroll operations
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and conditions
• Experience supervising a payroll team
• Solid knowledge of fortnightly payrolls, PAYG, payroll tax, Workcover, superannuation and terminations
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis
• Ability to develop ad hoc reports when required

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee end-to-end payroll for multiple entities
• Partner with P&C on employee movements, onboarding & termination
• Escalate significant compliance, financial or operational risks to the Financial Controller
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and within deadlines
• Plan and allocate team workloads to meet payroll deadlines and service requirements
• Prepare & lodge quarterly returns with state authorities
• Process superannuation payments per super legislation
• Support payroll audits and respond to audit requirements
