Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist on a contract basis to manage end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce using SAP SuccessFactors ECP. You will process multi-group payroll, reconcile cycles, maintain accurate master data in Employee Central, and ensure compliance with Australian awards and tax obligations.

Ideal candidates have 8–9 years of payroll experience, strong SAP ECP skills, meticulous attention to detail, and clear communication

• 8–9 years of payroll experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors ECP.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and award interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate, on-time end-to-end payroll across multiple pay groups.
• Run and reconcile pay cycles in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Keep employee master data in Employee Central accurate and current.
• Interpret and apply awards, EAs and contract terms correctly.
• Manage terminations, leave calculations and salary packaging adjustments.
• Complete STP, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax obligations.
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, journals and reporting for month-end.
• Resolve complex employee queries and support process improvement.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the team on a contract basis with an immediate start. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll look after end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce and be the go-to person for payroll queries across the organisation.

Process accurate, on-time end-to-end payroll across multiple pay groups

Run and reconcile pay cycles in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)

Keep employee master data in Employee Central (EC) accurate and current

Interpret and apply awards, EAs and contract terms correctly

Manage terminations, leave calculations and salary packaging adjustments

Complete STP, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax obligations

Prepare payroll reconciliations, journals and reporting for month-end

Resolve complex employee queries and support process improvement

To be considered for this role, you'll have 8–9 years of payroll experience and strong hands-on knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors ECP. You know Australian payroll legislation and award interpretation well, you pay close attention to detail, and you're confident handling complex calculations.
