Job summary

St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join the Payroll Services Team in Darlinghurst. The role focuses on ensuring accurate payroll delivery across complex award conditions.

Based in Darlinghurst, it offers a hybrid work arrangement with two days from home each week and exceptional rewards, including salary packaging, to support work‑life balance and career growth within NSW Health.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an internal payroll team in a complex high-volume environment.
  • Friendly attitude coupled with strong analytical skills.
  • Exposure to CHRIS 21 or similar payroll system.
  • Exposure to an automated time and attendance system, preferably Kronos or similar.
  • Experience with Health awards/agreements or worked in an area with complex award conditions across multiple agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Payroll Services Team Leader and be part of a team of 7
  • Ensure high accuracy in accordance with health service policies and industrial frameworks
  • Act as a key point of contact for a range of internal stakeholders across the hospital
  • Participate in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and quality of payroll service delivery
  • Work flexibly, with 2 days working from home each week
  • Enjoy better work/life balance with access to an extra 12 Accrued Days Off each year
