Job summary

Northeast Auto Group, Burton, is seeking a Payroll & People and Culture Coordinator to join our growing team. This role supports payroll processing and a range of People & Culture activities to ensure employees are supported and HR processes run smoothly.

The ideal candidate has experience in payroll and/or HR administration, strong attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills to work with a busy team.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Assist with weekly/fortnightly payroll processing and administration.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

• Support the People & Culture team with daily tasks and projects.
• Ensure payroll and HR processes are completed accurately and on time.

About The Role

This role will provide hands‑on support across payroll processing and a range of People & Culture activities, helping ensure our employees are supported and HR processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly/fortnightly payroll processing and payroll administration
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
• Support leave, timesheet and employee enquiries
• Assist with HR administration and people‑related action items
• Support the People & Culture team with day‑to‑day tasks and projects
• Ensure payroll and HR processes are completed accurately and on time

About You

• Previous experience in payroll and/or HR administration
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good understanding of payroll processes and employment records
• Confident handling confidential and sensitive information
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, proactive and willing to assist across a range of HR tasks
