Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for an immediate start in Box Hill. The role covers end-to-end payroll for 150+ staff, requiring SCHADS Award expertise and Micropay experience in a disability/community services setting. Qualifications

  • Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience applying the SCHADS Award.
  • Micropayroll experience is essential.
  • Experience processing payrolls for a large workforce (150+ employees).
  • Experience in disability or community services environments is highly desirable.
  • Highly accurate with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 150+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process payroll changes including new starters, terminations, leave, adjustments and other employee movements.
  • Interpret and apply the SCHADS Award and relevant employment conditions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll master data.
  • Manage payroll queries and provide timely support to employees and stakeholders.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, award and payroll legislation.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, audits and year-end processes.
  • Support the wider payroll team with day-to-day payroll requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.

Due to an immediate business need, they are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary basis with an immediate start. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional with strong SCHADS Award and Micropay experience to step into a busy role and provide valuable support to an established team.
