Job summary

Kaisercraft is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for our Geelong Head Office. This 100% on-site role supports weekly payroll, timesheet accuracy, and compliance with superannuation, PAYG tax and WorkCover.

The role offers flexible hours from 3 days/week to full-time, with Monday and Tuesday as fixed days due to payroll cycles. You will work autonomously within a collaborative team and use Excel, Outlook and our payroll system.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll across multiple sites or high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of superannuation, PAYG tax and WorkCover.
• Experience interpreting Modern Awards, especially General Retail Industry Award or Storage Services/Wholesale Award.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff and managers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process accurate and timely weekly payroll.
• Review and check a high volume of employee timesheets.
• Process superannuation, PAYG tax and other payroll-related requirements.
• Manage WorkCover requirements, including renewals and administration.
• Respond to employee payroll, pay and leave enquiries.
• Interpret and apply Modern Awards and payroll legislation.
• Identify payroll discrepancies and resolve issues before payroll finalisation.
• Prepare, review and analyse payroll reports.
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records.
• Support the business with payroll compliance and continuous improvement.
