Job summary

Stage II Group in Geelong is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our HR team. This permanent, full‑time role delivers end‑to‑end payroll processing and payroll administration in a fast‑paced retail environment.

You will manage weekly payroll, keep accurate employee records, handle new starters, terminations, superannuation, Payroll Tax and WorkCover reporting, while ensuring compliance and timely responses to staff inquiries. A current police check is required before commencing.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and updating details.
• Processing new starters, terminations, leave, allowances, deductions and other payroll adjustments.
• Superannuation payments and reporting.
• Preparing and processing Payroll Tax requirements.
• Managing WorkCover administration, including claims and associated documentation.
• Assisting with WorkCover reporting and premium requirements.
• Ensuring payroll processes comply with relevant legislation and workplace requirements.
• Responding to payroll and employee queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Assisting with general HR and administration tasks as required.
