Benetas in Victoria is seeking a Payroll Officer for a 12-month contract to join our Finance Department at the Support Office in Hawthorn East. You will assist in processing payroll across multiple sites, maintain records, and handle service desk queries to ensure accurate payments.

The role requires experience in aged care payroll, strong taxation knowledge, and familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems.

Qualifications

• Experienced in payroll processing in an aged care company.
• Strong understanding of taxation, superannuation legislation, and LSL calculations.
• Systems confident for use of HRIS, electronic timekeeping systems and related databases.
• High level of attention to detail and strengths in accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and apply conditions of employment (Awards, Enterprise Agreements, Contacts of Employment).
• Excellent customer service skills, and ability to provide timely actions and responses.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing fortnightly payrolls for multiple sites and locations across Victoria
• Updating and maintaining payroll records, including processing variations, new starters, leave, timesheets
• Calculation and processing of termination payments and correction pay
• Calculation of any under or over payments, reconciliations and other complex calculations
• Payroll Service Desk – liaising with staff and management on payroll queries and process adjustments
