Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting for a large Australian organisation based in Brisbane. This payroll role covers end-to-end processing, new starters, terminations and changes, and ensuring compliance with Australian legislation and awards.

You will join a supportive payroll team with hybrid working, on-site parking and a long-term contract. The ideal candidate has Australian payroll experience in a large workforce, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and deadline management.

Qualifications

• Previous end-to-end payroll experience in Australia, ideally in a large and complex workforce.
• Good knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
• Manage new starters, terminations and employee changes
• Process leave, allowances, deductions and other payroll adjustments
• Respond to payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
• Complete reconciliations and assist with payroll reporting
• Ensure payroll is processed in line with relevant legislation and awards
• Maintain accurate payroll and employee records
• Work closely with the wider payroll team to meet key deadlines
