Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a payroll professional for an office-based role in Ballarat with excellent working from home flexibility. You will join a supportive payroll team in a market-leading organisation, reporting to the Payroll Manager and contributing to accurate weekly and monthly payroll cycles.

The successful candidate will manage Australian and New Zealand payroll, handle starters/terminations, interpret EBAs/awards, and respond to payroll queries with strong attention to detail and time

Qualifications

• Prior payroll experience, Australian and NZ payroll knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing weekly/monthly payroll.
• Proactive communicator with good written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Process Australian and New Zealand payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Handle new starters, terminations and redundancies.
• Interpret various EBAs and awards.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from staff.
• Process superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG obligations.
• Perform ad hoc payroll tasks as required.

The Responsibilities

Working within a supportive, positive and close knit team, this role will be suited to someone who has a passion for payroll and are looking for their next challenge as an integral employee. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing Australian and New Zealand payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
• Processing new starters, terminations and redundancies
• Interpreting various EBA’s and awards
• Responding to payroll related queries
• Processing superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG
• Ad hoc tasks as required
