Job summary

Sharp and Carter in Ballarat is seeking a payroll specialist to join a supportive, close-knit payroll team. This office-based role offers excellent working from home flexibility and the chance to grow your payroll skillset with guidance from a Payroll Manager.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will process Australian and New Zealand payroll weekly and monthly, handle starters, terminations and redundancies, interpret EBAs and awards, respond to queries, and manage superannuation, payroll tax

Qualifications

• Proven payroll experience in Australian payroll processes.
• Excellent time management and high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities

Working within a supportive, positive and close knit team, this role will be suited to someone who has a passion for payroll and are looking for their next challenge as an integral employee.Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing Australian and New Zealand payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
• Processing new starters, terminations and redundancies
• Interpreting various EBA’s and awards
• Responding to payroll related queries
• Processing superannuation, payroll tax and PAYG
• Ad hoc tasks as required

The successful applicant will have previous proven experience in payroll as well as the following attributes:

• Positive and vibrant personality, with a passion for payroll
• Excellent time management skills with a strong attention to detail
