Job summary

Prosperity Advisers in Newcastle is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Outsourced Services division. You will work across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a range of outsourced clients, delivering accurate, compliant payroll outcomes.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, exposure to Employment Hero and Xero, and a supportive team focused on client service excellence and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience using Employment Hero, Xero or other payroll platforms.
• Confidence interpreting and applying multiple awards and agreements.
• Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to client service excellence.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a range of outsourced clients.
• Reviewing payroll data processed by other team members to ensure accuracy and legislative compliance.
• Providing timely and professional responses to client payroll queries.
• Delivering strong customer service to both clients and internal stakeholders.
