Job summary

Transport for NSW, located in Grafton, NSW, is seeking a Fixed Term Full-Time payroll and HR services specialist. You will manage end-to-end payroll processes, onboarding, position establishment, and data integrity across several systems in a customer-focused team.

The role offers temporary opportunities (6–12 months) with 50% on-site attendance across Burwood, Newcastle, Grafton or Glen Innes locations. Prior payroll experience within a large organisation is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering payroll processing and HR services in a busy environment.
• Ability to understand awards, legislation and policies affecting payroll.
• Strong accuracy, data integrity and quick system learning ability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate payroll processing and HR services within required timelines.
• Handle position establishment, onboarding, overpayments and movements.
• Navigate multiple systems to maintain data and investigate discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and creating reference materials.
• We have temporary fixed-term roles (6–12 months) based in Burwood, Newcastle, Grafton or Glen Innes with attendance 50% onsite.
