Job summary

Blue Wren Executive in Sydney is seeking a payroll-focused HR professional to join a small team on a 9-month parental leave contract. The role blends payroll processing with HR administration and WHS exposure.

You'll work 3 days on site and 2 days from home, with flexible start times between 7am and 9am, free parking, and a salary of AU$85K plus super, plus a discretionary AU$5,000 bonus on successful completion of the contract.

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on experience processing payroll end to end.
• Exposure to HR administration tasks such as contracts, onboarding and records.
• Some exposure to WHS, or willingness to learn.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication and ability to work with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Payroll: process fortnightly pay run for one group and monthly for head office; apply enterprise agreement to overtime and allowances; handle payroll queries and data updates.
• HR administration: prepare contracts, variations and letters; support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding; maintain employee records and HR systems; prepare reports.
• Health and safety: coordinate the site health and safety committee; assist with incidents, hazards and PPE; support return-to-work processes.
• Office coordination: assist in keeping the office running smoothly, including travel for international visitors, catering and supplies.
